Privacy Policy
The short version
We keep this simple because our whole thing is being honest. Premier de la Classe.lol is a satirical paid-visibility leaderboard: your rank goes up when you pay, in $0.30 increments, and we say that out loud. It is not a game of chance, an investment, a lottery, or a prize draw. There is no jackpot, no payout, no equity, no rare loot. You pay to sit higher on a ranking, and that is the entire product. This policy explains the handful of data points we touch, why we touch them, and how little of it we keep. No cookies for tracking, no cross-site profiling, no ad targeting, and we never sell your data to anyone. Full stop.
Who runs this (and where we sit)
Premier de la Classe.lol is operated from France by MLJ, a French company (registered under a French SIREN number), founded by Julien Jimenez. We are a foreign operator serving a US-facing product, and we are not going to pretend otherwise: there is no US entity behind this. Your data is processed in France and the European Union. If you are in the US and that matters to you, this is your heads-up, in plain English. Questions, requests, or complaints go to contact@premierdelaclasse.lol and a human reads them.
What we actually collect
Not much. Your email address, but only if you choose to give it, and only so we can send you rank alerts (someone just paid to leapfrog you, that kind of thing). No email, no alerts, no problem. Payment details when you pay: these are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your card information in USD; we never see it, never touch it, and never store your card number, CVC, or full payment credentials on our servers. We get back the boring stuff, like a confirmation that a payment went through. That is it.
Analytics without the creep
We measure traffic using DataFast and Plausible, both privacy-first, cookieless analytics tools. That means no tracking cookies, no cross-site tracking, no following you around the internet, and no building a profile of you. The numbers we see are aggregate and anonymized: pageviews, rough referrers, the general shape of who is visiting. We cannot use it to single you out, and we do not try to.
Why we use your data (purposes and legal basis)
Email address: to send the rank alerts you signed up for. Legal basis under the EU GDPR (which governs us because we operate from the EU) is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Payment processing: to take your payment and place you on the leaderboard, handled by Stripe. Legal basis is performance of the contract between us, plus our and Stripe's legal obligations around payment records. Analytics: to understand and improve the site. Legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a functioning product, using data so minimal and anonymized that it does not tip the balance against your privacy.
How long we keep it
Your email stays only as long as you want the alerts. Unsubscribe and we remove you from the alert list. Ask us to delete it entirely and we will. Payment records are retained by Stripe and by us to the extent required by French and EU accounting and tax law, which typically means several years for the transaction record itself, not for card data (we never had that). Cookieless analytics data is aggregate and is not tied to you as an individual, so there is nothing personal to age out.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you what personal data we hold about you and to delete it. If you are covered by the EU GDPR, you also have rights to correct, restrict, object to, and port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing, which is easy here because we do not sell or share your data for cross-context advertising in the first place. To exercise any of this, email contact@premierdelaclasse.lol. We will not charge you, retaliate, or make you jump through hoops.
International data transfers
Because we operate from France, your data is processed in France and the wider European Union. If you are contacting us or paying from the United States or elsewhere, your data crosses a border to reach us. Stripe, as a global payment processor, may also process payment data in the US and other regions under its own safeguards. By using the service you understand your data will be handled in the EU under EU data protection law, which is generally at least as protective as, and often stricter than, what you are used to.
No ad targeting, no data sales
We do not run targeted advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only third parties that touch your data are the ones doing the actual work: Stripe (payments), Resend (sending the alert emails), and DataFast/Plausible (cookieless analytics). Each processes data only to deliver its piece of the service, nothing more.
Emails and unsubscribing
If you opted in, we send rank alerts through Resend, our email delivery provider. Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and it works instantly. No dark patterns, no fake urgency, no burying the opt-out under a maze of confirmations. Click once, you are out, and we drop your email from the alert list.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update it here and, for anything material, keep the language just as plain as it is now.
